Information
A major player in the energy transition in the region, the Energy Recovery Unit (UVE) of Dijon Métropole processes 140,000 tonnes of waste each year, representing approximately 96% of the population of Côte-d'Or.
Since its commissioning in 1974, this facility, operated directly by the municipality, has continually evolved to meet the most demanding environmental standards.
The waste-to-energy plant produces 150 GWh of heat annually, which is injected into the urban heating network (RCU) of the metropolis, as well as 37 GWh of electricity.
The site is ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certified.
Engaged in an ambitious modernization project, representing a projected investment of €183.02 million including VAT, the unit will become one of the most efficient in France by 2031.
ATTENTION: Meet at the Exhibition Park at 8:00 am to take a bus (rue Léon Mauris).
Guided tour in 2 separate groups.
