All energy stakeholders are calling for efficient planning of the energy transition, but the visions (prospective scenarios, local planning exercises) are often siloed, energy by energy, use by use.
However, the interactions between energy networks are numerous and a global vision is needed to build a robust, resilient and decarbonized energy system at controlled costs.
In this respect, local authorities, and energy unions in particular, can play a key role in integration by placing networks at the heart of territorial energy planning .
It is in this perspective that SYANE - Public Establishment for Energy and Digital Technology of Haute-Savoie - wished to conduct with its concessionaire GRDF a prospective study on the role of gas in the Haute-Savoie department by 2035 .
The workshop offered at the European Energy Transition Conference in Dijon presents the main points of this study as well as its main conclusions.
