France has set itself the goal of renovating buildings to BBC (Low Consumption Building) standards by 2050, while the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region aims to become a positive energy region . It took the lead as early as 2009 to create momentum towards this ambition, first with the Effilogis program and then by introducing eco-conditions to all its subsidies. The result: promising outcomes and a source of inspiration?
The workshop will address 20 years of exemplary experience of political will, converted into a structured financial and technical support program for projects.
In the first part, we will discuss its successes and levers (a cooperative approach resulting in quality projects thanks to unique solid technical engineering) based on a testimony, and also its difficulties and prospects.
In the second part, you will see how, today, faced with climate change and its consequences on both our available natural resources and the continued usability of our buildings, a purely energy-efficient approach to building projects is no longer sufficient. We must consider the building within its environment . Creating a virtuous circle encompassing the building and its surroundings, linking de-sealing, greening, energy efficiency, and construction waste management, is essential; each action amplifying the desired impact.
The nature of the levers used and the consequences of their synergies will be discussed.
