This workshop aims to present the feasibility study conducted by Auxilia in Côtes d'Armor. This study sought to assess the opportunity and conditions for deploying a mobile, multi-service concierge service in rural areas. The project is based on a shared vision between local elected officials and Auxilia: to offer a service that is useful to residents and adapted to rural realities, by combining several functions:
- A mobile logistics service for short supply chain products, to facilitate the distribution of local products and support local businesses.
- A local logistics relay service to simplify deliveries and access to everyday goods.
- A redesigned on-demand transport system, combining passenger and goods transport, to avoid empty trips and facilitate travel for residents.
The aim of this approach is threefold:
- Evaluate the opportunity of the service by analyzing its conditions for success: technical feasibility, economic viability, social utility, environmental impact and governance model.
- Bringing together stakeholders around the project, whether they are from the territory (elected officials, traders, associations, economic actors) or external partners (institutions, funders).
- Model the experimental conditions, first on the scale of a pre-identified catchment area, then consider the possibilities of dissemination on a larger scale if needed.
