The energy transition, a pillar of health for all

Grand WorkshopSocial justice

2026-06-23 | 09:00 AM - 10:00 AM | Morey-Saint-Denis Hall

Information

Mobility, agriculture, energy efficiency: these are all examples that show the co-benefits of the energy transition for health.
The One Health concept emerged in the early 2000s and addresses health in a systemic way: human health, environmental health, and animal health.
This approach allows us to understand the chains of impact between our ways of consuming, producing, transporting, moving around, working, ... and living things.
The COVID pandemic has highlighted, if need be, the importance of a global approach to the health of all living beings.
An ambitious energy transition brings many co-benefits and fits fully into this integrated approach.
This major workshop aims to illustrate some of these levers, through 3 exciting topics: health and mobility (active mobility and reduction of pathologies, reduction of the car's place/improvement of air quality and therefore of associated pathologies), health and decarbonized agriculture (reduction of chemical inputs, change in agricultural practices, material recovery of organic residues, methanization for a decarbonized gas…), and health and energy sobriety (consuming less energy, space, processed food products).
